spirit | questing

A pretty simple idea, really.
This is all about us. And you. And "you & us". Less of who we are, but more of what we are made of. What keeps us ticking.

It all started in 2/07 when I realized I had lost some sort of connection. Connection with what, I wasn't sure of, but I felt more aimless and outside myself than I had in awhile. Previously the cause was upheaval, emotional and physical. This time, though, there was no cause. It was a condition brought about by losing touch with what I needed. I was about to graduate from college, and there really wouldn't be a better time to devote energy to finding out what I can - nay, need - to connect to in order to feel...present.

What I found? Awareness. About who I am, what I am. Ideas about Big Things. I'll spare you the more earnest details. I came to call this my spirit quest, as cheesy as I know that sounds. What was also valuable, was that I didn't engage in it alone. My friends were part of the experience through reflection and encouragement. Nothing, though, is permanent. So now and then I find myself needing to quest again, and re-connect. Luckily, the groundwork has been laid.

That's what spirit | questing is all about. It's about you. And me. And everyone else here. It's individual, but it's also community. It's building awareness of ourselves. Key phrase, "our". Whatever it is you need to find that connection to yourself, wherever your own quest takes you, hopefully you can find inspiration and encouragement from here. So explore, engage, and experience. As earnest as it all is. It works.
